VIGYAN SAFAR (VS)
Vigyan Safar is one day visit by primary or secondary students to the RCSC. This programme is conducted 150 days a year that is on almost all working school days excluding  examinations. The number of students incorporated per day is 100. The students carry out experimental work at all our laboratories. They also get to do some 'Hands - on - activities' that enables them to understand the science in day to day life. They are also shown an informative astronomy slide show and an environmental film show in the Auditorium. Finally the students learn about the effect of impact of humans on ecology by playing an environmental game. The Vigyan Safar also includes a visit to the Aryabhatt Science Museum. Feedback, at the end is collected from the schools.

Recently the Vigyan Safar is targetted towards the educational uplifting of the primary students of Municipality Schools

VIGYAN DARSHAN (VD)

Also perform hands on experiments-exhibition-Multimedia presentation and Community level programme. During night halt, presentation on Eredication of Superstition. Sky gazing with Telescope, public health etc. is also made.

(RATAN TATA TRUST OF MUMBAI SUPPORTED THE VD FOR TWO YEARS)

SUNDAY SCIENCE SCHOOL (SSS) - FOR STUDENTS

To promote and develop experimental skills and logic essential for Scientific research, help to develop reasoning and analytical skills, learn the application of Science to solve day to day problems and develope technologies. Students enroll and spend 3-4 hours in a Laboratory of the centre to perform experiments themselves under the guidance of an expert and learn how to do the entire process. About 20 students from SSS are selected annually for special Vacation Progromme of Bal Vaigyanik Training( BVT) where they are extensively trained in the process of Scientific research, data accumulation and analysis.

ARYABHATT SCIENCE MUSEUM

The Aryabhatt Science Museum is the only one museum of its kind in Rajkot. The museum features about 100 odd models based on different scientific principles. The museum is built in such a way that for a student itís a fun way to learn science and its so called difficult principles whereas for a lay man its just pure entertainment. Almost 90 per cent of the museum models are such that a visitor can himself use them and find out amazing things for himself. Almost 50 per cent of the museum models are Electronic Models which is a novelty to almost any visitor. The visitor if he or she wishes can also take help of the instructors that are present at the Aryabhatt Science Museum. Models for principles such as advantages of pulleys, magic of light and mirror, Bernoulliís Principle, electronic counter, persistence of vision, illusions etc are present. Small children just love the action happening at their claps at some of the museum models. The main attraction of the museum is a giant model explaining the principle of conversion of energy from one form to another.
